Peace is Always Preferable to War

Every week Kyralani and I close our Good Vibrations Radio show with a meditation. Although we vary, predominantly we close with a meditation for peace. We ask everyone listening to give their intention for peace to the meditation as we walk through the wisdom of many to the background music Hope from Shaun Paul Productions.

Our meditation always brings out issues for Kyralani and me - it invokes many feelings of "Now". We want this now, not tomorrow, not next week, Now!

As a lead in to the meditation we often quote Ernest Hemingway and Benjamin Franklin, "Never think that war, no matter how necessary, nor how justified, is not a crime." (Ernest Hemingway) “There never was a good war or a bad peace.” (Benjamin Franklin)

In the Ukraine version of "America's Got Talent" artist Kseniya Simonova, an artist from the Ukrainian city Evpatoriya, won with her sand painting performance interpreting Germany's invasion and occupation of the Ukraine during WWII.

Without words this poignant piece of performance art demonstrates there is no "good" war. Isn't it time that we created a permanent peace? Watch the video before you answer.

The phrase she writes at the end is "You are always near".
