Joe Wilson is a Liar and not much of a Patriot either!
In all the flurry of media hype over the rude, abrasive, boorish behavior of Republican Congressman from South Carolina, Joe Wilson, the issue that he is the liar has been glossed over.
It's bad enough that the Republican minority functions with a level of disrespect that the Democratic Party did not extend to President Bush. It's unfortunate that the Republican leadership still wants to spin the issue of health care of immigrants. It's unfortunate that Joe Wilson, who has apologized publicly by stating he still disagrees with what the President said, are all ignoring that Section 246 of HR 3200 states:
"H.R. 3200: Sec 246 (p. 143) — NO FEDERAL PAYMENT FOR UNDOCUMENTED ALIENS
"Nothing in this subtitle shall allow Federal payments for affordability credits on behalf of individuals who are not lawfully present in the United States."
The preceding section of the bill defines that “the term ‘affordable credit eligible individual’ means … an individual who is lawfully present in a State in the United States.”
That means there are no federal subsidies for you if you’re in the country illegally. Illegal immigrants are not eligible for federal health programs under current law.
However, the Medicare Prescription Bill signed into law by George Bush has a provision offering federal reimbursement for emergency care provided to illegal immigrants. Want to guess who voted in favor of that bill - Joe Wilson. He is an example of a duplicitous fraud, and the people who support him only listen to Fox and believe what they shovel.
HR 3200 is the only bill that has been released from committee for vote. HR 3200 is the only bill that Joe Wilson and his Republican House leadership would have seen presented to the House, not other potential bills that are still in committee. Joe Wilson is not only a Vietnam draft deferring, non-military serving, self-declared patriot who mocked John Kerry for his actual service in Vietnam. He is a liar!
I'm tired or our country being subverted by people who fail to allow facts to be part of their disagreement. Joe Wilson did not serve when called, and he continues to fail to serve the people of South Carolina by lying and misrepresenting his boorish behavior as just a disagreement. In fact his boorish behavior is just a lie.
