Insurance Companies Suppress the Truth

Bill Moyers Journal did another fact-based investigation. They discovered how the Medical Insurance Companies created a political strategy to discredit Michael Moore's movie "Sicko". Their strategy included special phrases designed to diminish the documentary value and truth contained in the movie.

As seen in the two video clips that follow, our right to health care and a healthy citizenry is being bought away by "for profit" companies and sold on Fox and other real news networks by political pundits more interested in power and position than governance and concern for the people of the United States. They are using the fear of "socialism" and "government ineptitude" and "lack of choice". Yet, 45 million people don't have health care, don't have a choice, and the rest of us are being driven to higher and higher premiums and deductibles.

In the Christian New Testament, Matthew 25:45 Jesus is quoted as saying: "Truly, I say to you, as you did it not to one of the least of these, you did it not to me." The reverse is often quoted but the truth is Jesus was saying if you do not care for the least then you show that you do not care. There is no rationalization for not sharing, not giving, not being a part of a larger community not restricted by race, religion or political affiliation. Those that want us to fear are the ones we must fear because they only want us to be like them, not like ourselves, and they want to deny all of us the same care that Jesus would have demanded, "Give to the least as you would give to yourself."
