Winter Solstice and Transformation
Yesterday was the Winter Solstice. This is the end of the long night of Winter and we head into the rebirth of the world into Spring.
The ancients celebrated this time of the year with celebrations for many days. This period was co-opted by the early Christians and turned into the "birth" of Jesus and Christmas. While the Christians adapted some of the intention of the Solistice celebrations for use with Christmas, it still loses much of its meaning.
The Winter Solstice is the original celebration of Light. It is the time of rebirth, the time of transformation. This year the Solstice is even more significant. The Gregorian calendar is off by 4 years. This is a known fact. the 4 year variance doesn't always impact us, unless you are looking forward 4 years and that time itself is significant.
So what is happening 4 years from now. Oh, that's right it will be 2012. And Winter Solstice, December 21, 2012 is the end of the Mayan Calendar. It is the end of Terrence McKenna's Timewave Zero. It is the predicted end of time as we know it.
What does that mean? It means we have the chance to use the energy of 2012 today to make the changes we need to move beyond the limitations and restrictions of this industrial age. The industrial age is the current age we are in. It is also referred to as the Kali Yuga. What follows the Kali Yuga?
We have the opportunity to move to a higher level of being. The ancients say we're headed to a new Golden Age. The scientists say the planet has been realigning since 1980 so the predictions of cataclysmic shifts may be overstated since we are in the cataclysmic shifts right now.
As Christine Breese from the University of Metaphysical Sciences shared on Good Vibrations Radio, this is the time to carry love in your heart and share it with the world. So what are you carrying in your heart?
